This was follow on work from a service I carried out a while ago. Mostly straight forward stuff a part from the lower NSR suspension bolt had seized and snapped, thankfully not flush with the hub carrier. I was able to extract the broken bolt by “double nutting” the shaft of the bolt with two track rod nuts I had kept for such occasion, hobby gas to heat the carrier and with a little effort was able to remove it. I was able to source a bolt, cut it to size and taper the end for a permanent repair. The seat belt warning delete was what the customer was happy about. There is actually a suspected problem with the switch in the stalk and instead of more expense to find out what’s causing this, the option to turn off the warning was decided, with seat occupancy detection still enabled.
