This one has had the fault for over a year and the previous workshop want able to fix the problem. First of all I checked for pressure in the system and measures how much was in it had enough to function, then as the compressor was a clutch type and easy to get to I checked the clutch was operating ok. Then I checked the feed to the compressor and wasn’t getting anything. Checked fuses and power to fuses check relays and power to relays then checked earths. Switched side wasn’t grounding out so either there was a problem with the wire from the ECU or the ECU wasn’t giving the command to turn on. Checked pressure sensor on data listing -ok noticed there was a fault for the coolant fan checked feeds and earths - ok checked switch wire for fan- not ok wire wasn’t broken but had corroded internally and the insulation was intact.
Repaired wire checked system -ok fault rectified 👍🏼
