probably not the most exciting post 😂. But a new tool to help diagnose clutchless air conditioning compressors. Older or basic compressors just needed a 12v feed to an electromagnetic clutch and it was that simple to see if the compressor worked or not, basically on or off.

New variable displacement compressors uses an actuator that is controlled a little like the dimmer switch in your home lighting circuit. this tool is able to be temporarily wired in and provides the variable control so I can either rule out the compressor as a fault or diagnose the compressor as the fault.
